Saskatchewan has seen significant growth in recent years and provincial asset managers are challenged to maintain aging assets with competing priorities. To build our asset management framework we started from the premise that we have to work as one province. This presentation will focus on the opportunities we see in taking a strategic approach to managing our assets and how we have (and still are) navigating a complex change. We will also share examples and our lessons learned engaging multiple stakeholders in different organizations as like many provinces, Saskatchewan’s assets are owned by multiple entities, including different government ministries, crown corporations and third party organizations like school divisions, universities and the Health Region.
