A common business problem for asset managers is they must make decisions about Maintenance & Replacement (M&R) based on sparse data about the current state/condition of their assets. It is thus very difficult to optimize the selection of M&R investments each year. This problem is especially true for small to mid-sized local governments that may not have adequate resources. To alleviate this problem and help asset managers frame their approach to more effective data-driven decision-making, Esri Canada’s public works team has developed a low-cost and simple to use Workforce Starter Solution geared towards communities with limited resources. This solution provides ready to use online templates for asset/maintenance data collection, condition inspections and dashboard reports that leverages an organization’s existing asset data and applications within their Esri software platform.
