Overview
The City of Calgary’s Climate Mitigation division focuses on reducing Calgary’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in support of the Calgary Climate Strategy. This luncheon will feature two presentations from City program managers about new and ongoing City programs for condominium buildings:
Mariam will speak about ChargeYYC, a new rebate program for multi-residential buildings looking to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers on their property. Phase 1 of the program, launching this fall, will provide approved applicants with up to $4,000 or 50% (whichever is lower) to hire a qualified professional to prepare an EV Charging Road Map - a customized technical plan to retrofit existing buildings and enable EV charging - for their multi-residential building.
Brent will present on BenchmarkYYC as a program and tool for building owners and operators to measure and track their whole-building energy consumption and GHG emissions, an important first step that supports the implementation of EV charging infrastructure.
