SHERRY BIGNELL is Vice President, Team Leader and Partner in the Calgary office of BFL CANADA Insurance Services Inc. Sherry joined BFL in June 2013 and as a senior member of the Calgary team at BFL, she is responsible for leadership of the Real Estate Client Service Managers, servicing of clients as well as producing business. Sherry started her insurance career in 1991 and has worked with clients from a variety of industries, but she has dedicated 28 years of her career to Condominium Corporations. She has a strong background in building client relationships, problem solving, claims management and risk management. Education is a key component of what she does, which includes presenting at trade shows, speaking at seminars for property managers, teaching the insurance course for the CCM series and attending board meetings. Sherry is an active member of the Canadian Condominium Institute of Canada, Southern Alberta, and the Association of Condominium Managers of Alberta. Sherry has earned her CIP and CAIB designations.
Kyla McAvena

Kyla McAvena is a Claims Advisor in the Calgary office of BFL Canada Insurance Services Inc. Kyla has 12 years of experience, she started her career on the Insurer side for eight years and has now been with BFL for four years. Her background is commercial claims with specialization in residential, heavy machinery and marine. She completed her CIP in 2020 and is currently an Honored Listee of Marquis Who’s Who.
Currently Kyla only handles condominium claims, she attends board meetings, presents at educational sessions and provides advice on anything condominium claim related.

MARIA BARTOLOTTI was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, a city she loves to call home with her adorable dog, Dexter. Maria started her career as a Condominium Property Manager back in 2001 and has remained actively involved in the Condominium Community for about 19 years. In 2005 she took a leap of faith and started her own Condominium Management firm, New Concept Management Inc. which has achieved great success. Maria completed studies in Business Law, Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, including various courses and certificates in Property Management, through the Real Estate Council of Alberta and the Canadian Condominium Institute–Southern Alberta to name a couple. In 2014, Maria received her Associate of the Canadian Condominium Institute, along with being awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Canadian Condominium Institute Designation.
