Carlos Osterroth is an Asset System Manager with the City of Medicine Hat in Alberta. He is a lead integrator on the City’s Asset Management portfolio within the Corporate Asset Management and Corporate Services division.
Prior to this, he was a Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, where he was responsible for the Equipment Fielding Coordination Centre in the 3rd Canadian Division Head Quarters in Edmonton, developing policies, directives and governance frameworks for the maintenance and replacement of military assets throughout their lifecycle. He has worked in the private industry as a mechanical design engineer in the United Kingdom and Montreal. He has a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Engineering Management, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Carlos holds membership in a number of American and Canadian professional associations, including the professional designations as Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP), Certified Automotive Fleet Professional (CAFM), Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Professional Logistician (P.Log), and Project Management Professional. This year, Carlos was admitted to Harvard Business School - Business Analytics program - where he will continue his education and develop skills to gather levels of service data applicable to asset management decision-making processes.
