EPCOR Water Canada Inc. (EWSI) own and operate an asset portfolio with an estimated value of $1bn at the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant (GBWWTP) and associated facilities.  The effective and efficient management of these assets presents a considerable challenge.  EWSI has deployed a broad range of sound asset management practices for many years but recognizes the additional benefits that could be achieved through the adoption of a more comprehensive and structured approach.  Over the past two years, EWSI has worked closely with Associated Engineering (AE) to strengthen its asset management practices to better compliment and integrate with existing management systems.  This presentation will describe EWSI GB’s asset management improvement journey, from an initial maturity assessment and the development of a strategic asset management plan, through to the development of risk-based models for investment forecasting on asset systems at a tactical level.
